International terminal hours

The international terminal is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The shops, situated inside the terminal, are open for all incoming and outgoing flights.  For specific hours of trade, please click here.

Trolleys are free of charge and are available throughout the terminal.

Information points

Our airport hospitality ambassadors, otherwise known as 'bluecoats' for their distinctive coloured jackets, are on hand to offer passengers help when at the airport. They can help you find your way and direct you to what you need. We also have information kiosks situated around the terminal. For more information please click here.

Internet Access - Wifi

Wireless hotspots in the international terminals keep our passengers connected. Our wireless network easily allows you to email, surf the net or access your company's intranet using your handheld device or laptop computers. Click here for for more information.

Lost property and left luggage

Lost property found within the international terminal can be claimed from our lost property office. The lost property office, which can be found using our airport maps, is in the operations building at the rear of the international terminal. Property can be claimed from this office between 9am-4pm (Monday – Friday). Phone +64 9 256 8813 or email lostproperty@aucklandairport.co.nz.

Duty free items found in the transit area will be passed on to NZ Customs.

Passengers who lose their passports, should contact the airport Police on +64 9 275 9046.

It is our policy to immediately destroy perishable goods, so please be aware of this.

Please contact the airline you travelled with directly for any items left on board an aircraft.

Medical services and first aid

For urgent medical attention or to use a first aid room dial 98777 on any airport phone (not the Telecom telephones) in the terminals

• Full medical and healthcare services are available from The Airport Doctors at the Airport Shopping Centre, John Goulter Drive. Open 8am-6pm (Monday - Friday), 9am - 1pm (Saturday). Closed Sunday and public holidays. Phone +64 9 256-8655.

For all other emergencies at the airport dial 98777 on any airport phone (except the Telecom telephones) in the terminals.

Foreign exchange and banking services

 

 

Banking services

Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) are throughout the international and domestic terminals. These ATMs accept VISA, MasterCard, Amex, Diners Club cards and all Plus cards.

Currency exchange

Travelex, is the world's foreign exchange specialist, with ten stores located in the international and domestic terminals, open 365 days a year, for all arriving and departing flights.

All major and most exotic currencies are available from Travelex at the international and domestic terminals.

Showers and toiletries

We have free shower facilities for transit passengers along with vending machines that sell toiletries and travel products that meet the security requirements of international flights. For more information please click here.

Smoking areas

Smoking is permitted before security in designated areas of the forecourt at the international terminal. Departing and transit travellers can access the smoking lounge after security, on the second level of the international terminal.

Spectators

Look-out lounge observation area

Our look-out lounge observation area has excellent views of the airfield and departing travellers. On the top floor of the international terminal, the observation area houses a display about pioneering aviator Jean Batten and shows her historic Percival Gull aircraft. Use our airport maps to be part of this interesting piece of New Zealand aviation history.
