Bike to the airport
Auckland Airport has a cycle lane running from the northern access on George Bolt Drive through to Puhinui Road to the east. It is a popular route for recreational cyclists and some keen commuters to work.
Cycle racks have also been installed in the domestic terminal car park and at the arrivals end of the international terminal for use by both staff and passengers.

Bike to Work Breakfast Wednesday 17th February 2010
We celebrated Lifts' third anniversary and encourged all Airport staff to "Get On Yer Bike!" this year.
From 07:30am to 08:30am breakfast was available in a marquee erected near the entrance to the International Terminal Public Car Park and there were a number of spot prizes for cyclists such as LED lights, puncture repair kits and sunscreen.
The event links nicely with the Lift Travel Plan philosophy of encourgaing people to leave the car at home and getting to work differently, having fun and keeping fit at the same time.
The Airport is one of several locations chosen in Manukau for the main local events for Bike Wise Month - February 2010.
