Public Transport

Public transport options for travelling to and from Auckland Airport were increased in 2008 and again in 2009.

An improved Airbus service was introduced in June 2008 with a scheduled fifteen minute service frequency into Auckland's CBD.  From the 1st of November 2009 the Airbus runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week, with a half hour frequency from 7:30pm to 7:00am. The Airbus stops at Mt Eden train station Airbusproviding a link to the western line on Aucklands rail network.

Passengers can also catch a bus from the Airport to the North Shore using the Airbus Express and Northern Busway services - but all on one ticket.  The "Northern Flyer" costs just $30 return!

In addition a brand new 380 service between Auckland Airport and Manukau City centre was introduced in June 2008 with a half hour freqency.  This service links to the southern line rail network at Papatoetoe station and InterCity and Naked Bus coach services at Manukau.380 service

An existing crosstown service from Botany/Pakuranga via Otara, Papatoetoe and Mangere curently runs week days.  This service, the 375, was updated in February 2009 running every half at hour at peak times and hourly during the day.

The timetables for all these services can be found on the MAXX website. Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) is the organisation that co-ordinates public transport throughout the Auckland region.  Auckland Airport is working closely with ARTA to continually improve public transport links to and from the airport.
