Frequently Asked Questions about booking Parking online

There are 5 simple steps to a successful booking:

  1. Select your date, time and terminal details on the Quick Quote Parking Calculator
  2. Select the parking product that best suits you 
  3. Complete your personal details 
  4. Complete your payment details(Including nominating which credit card you will use to enter and exit the car park) 
  5. Print out your confirmation invoice and email

What do I do at the airport on the day of travel?

Drive to the car park you have pre-booked. Signage is clearly visible at the airport. Please bring the map that is available on the website and on your confirmation email.   Once you have located the correct car park you have booked, insert your nominated credit into the slot at the entrance barrier.  The credit card recognises you have pre-booked and paid for your parking and will open for you.   See instructions for further help. Please remember that you will need to bring your nominated credit card to both enter and exit the car park.

Is there an additional booking fee?

No booking fee is applied to bookings made via this website.

How far ahead can I book?

You may book up to 12 months ahead of your travel date.

Can I book at short notice?

You may only book 24 hours ahead of arrival time. 

How are parking charges calculated?

Pre-booked car park prices are calculated on a 24 hour period or part thereof. The number of days charged for when you pre-book is calculated on the basis of the times and dates you select when making your booking. Charges for certain promotions may be calculated on the number of calendar days booked. See special promotion Terms and Conditions for further information.    

What payment methods are accepted?

Auckland Airport accepts the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.

How do I know that my booking has been placed?

Shortly after placing your booking, you will receive an email with a booking reference number confirming all your details. You should print this email and bring it with you to the Airport including the map of where your chosen carpark is located. You can also view your booking by simply clicking on “Manage my Booking” on the Auckland Airport website.

All bookings are made subject to our Terms and Conditions.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

You can cancel all bookings up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure time at no charge. 

The simplest way is to click on the "Manage my Booking" button at the top of the parking homepage.

In all communication please quote the booking reference number.

What if I need to amend my booking?

You may amend your booking up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure time at no charge.

What happens if I forget or lose my booking confirmation?

If you do not have your booking confirmation, you are still able to enter and exit the chosen car park, by swiping your nominated credit card at the entry and exit barriers.  

Alternatively you can have a new booking confirmation resent by clicking on the "Manage my Booking" button at the top of the website.

What is "Manage my Booking"?

This service enables you to amend or cancel your booking online. You can amend your parking product with a new one providing it is available. You can also amend your nominated credit card details and dates originally chosen.

What is "Display Previous Bookings"?

This allows you to view the recent bookings you have made. You will simply need to enter your email address and postcode from the last booking made.

What happens if I want to bring a different nominated credit card to the one confirmed at booking?

If you are going to use a different nominated credit card to that detailed on your confirmation invoice, you can amend these details to your booking online. Simply click on “Manage my Booking” function at the top of the website.

If you enter and exit the car park using a card that is not your nominated credit card, you will be charged at the rates displayed at the entry to the car park.

At the car park

What do I do when I get to the car park?

Upon entering your chosen car park, please insert your nominated credit card at the entry barrier to gain access.

The confirmation email you will receive gives comprehensive instructions on what to do when you arrive at the car park. This information is also contained How to Book Online link on the Auckland Airport Parking homepage.

Where should I park once I have entered the car park?

You may park in any space in that car park that is open or unoccupied.

What happens when I return?

Simply insert your nominated credit card at the exit barrier to gain exit.

What happens if I enter the car park prior to my confirmed booking time or exit the car park later than my confirmed booking time?

If you enter the car park before your confirmed booking time, or exit the car park later than your confirmed booking time, the credit card that you use to exit the car park (i.e. your nominated card) will be debited with the cost of the additional time, based on the rates displayed at the entry to the car park. 

What happens if I exit the car park earlier than what I pre-booked? 

No refund will be made if your stay is shorter than the Booking Period. If you arrive early or leave late so your Vehicle is parked in a Car park for any time outside the Booking Period, you will be charged for that time at the rate specified on the Tariff Board and applicable to the Car Park in which you have parked. This will be the case even if your total stay is no longer than the Booking Period. Please note that the Tariff Board rate is not necessarily the same rate as your Booking Fee.

Do the shuttle vans between the Terminal and the Park & Ride car park run throughout the night?

Park & Ride operates a 24-hour shuttle service to the Terminal and has 24/7 staff onsite.

What facilities are available for special assistance customers?

Whilst each of our car parks has a number of accessible spaces available for Mobility Card Holders, unfortunately you are unable to reserve any specific space via the online booking system.
