Terminal services and facilities

Services and facilities at Auckland Airport allow us to make your experience with us both pleasant and convenient.

We offer luggage storage, wrapping, visitor information and assistance among many other services; all created to take the hassle out of travel.

Luggage trolleys

Trolleys are free of charge and are available throughout the terminal.

Family facilities 

Nursery rooms, with cots and change tables, are there for all travellers to use free of charge.

Use our airport maps to locate the nursery rooms.

There are also change tables in the female toilets throughout the international and domestic terminals.


Information points 

Our airport hospitality ambassadors, otherwise known as 'bluecoats' for their distinctive coloured jackets, are on hand to offer passengers help when at the airport. They can help you find your way and direct you to what you need. We also have information kiosks situated around the terminal. For more information please click here.

Internet Access - Wifi 

Wireless hotspots in the terminals keep our passengers connected. Our wireless network easily allows you to email or surf the net. Click here for more information.


lost luggage
Lost property and left luggage 

Lost property found within the domestic terminal can be claimed from our lost property office. The lost property office, which can be found using our airport maps, is in the operations building at the rear of the international terminal. Property can be claimed from this office between 9am-4pm (Monday – Friday). Phone +64 9 256 8813 or email

Passengers who lose their passports, should contact the airport Police on +64 9 275 9046.

It is our policy to immediately destroy perishable goods, so please be aware of this.

Please contact the airline you travelled with directly for any items left on board an aircraft.



Passengers can buy postage stamps from: 

  • Relay, ground floor, near the foodcourt

 Post boxes are throughout the terminal.


Medical services and first aid 

For urgent medical attention or for a first aid room dial 98777 on any airport phone (not the Telecom telephones) in the terminals

  • Full medical and healthcare services are available from The Airport Doctors at the airport shopping centre, John Goulter Drive.
  • Open 8am-6pm (Monday - Friday), 9am - 1pm (Saturday). Closed Sunday and public holidays. Phone +64 9 256-8655.

Emergency services

For all other emergencies at the airport dial 98777 on any airport phone (except the Telecom pay-phones) in the terminals.


Banking Services

Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) are throughout the international and domestic terminals. These ATMs accept VISA, MasterCard, Amex, Diners Club cards and all Plus cards.


Smoking area

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the forecourt at the domestic terminal.

The Auckland Tourism i-SITE Visitor Information Centre offers impartial advice and exclusive rates for bookings on a range of transport, accommodation and activities for Auckland and the rest of New Zealand. The Domestic i-SITE Visitors Information Centre is now closed. If you require assistance with bookings please call +64 9 365 9925 or click here.




Coin, phone-card and credit-card telephones are in the following locations:

  • Western end of the terminal 
  • Eastern end of the terminal

Phone-cards are sold at Relay near the foodcourt.
