Better journeys ahead

Drop-off's and pick-up's at the international terminal now have double the space, with the opening of the ground floor of the Transport Hub. You will notice a change in the drop-off and pick-up area, which has relocated from the front of the international terminal to the inside of the Transport Hub.

The brand-new facility offers more than 320m of undercover kerbside drop-off and pick-up space for cars, buses and taxis (including rideshare) enabling faster entry and exit from the airport.

We have limited paid P60 short term carparking on the ground floor if your traveller is delayed or you would like to park to assist or accompany someone into the terminal. This is accessible at the exit end of the drop-off and pick-up lanes, simply follow the signs and get into the correct lane to enter the P60 carpark area. This is the closet parking to the International terminal. Entry is by licence plate recognition, and you can pay at one of the pay machines inside the Transport Hub before you return to your car or via payWave available at the exit barrier. Parking tariffs are here.

P180 short stay is now open at the international terminal. Access is via the P180 entry at the Transport Hub off Tom Pearce Drive. Please follow the signs and drive up the ramp. Before you return to your car to exit, pay at one of the pay stations located by the lifts. When exiting the car park, head down the ramp to the exit barriers these will open automatically once your licence plate has been read. If you have any accessibility needs, you can find answers to our most common questions here.

There are separate lanes for public, valet and commercial traffic - such as buses, taxi's, rideshares and shuttles, to help make an easier and more efficient welcome and departure point.

When you are driving towards the terminal, simply follow the signs to the drop-off and pick-up zone.

Pick-up by taxi, rideshare or shuttle

After your trip, if you are being picked up by an on-demand taxi, rideshare or super shuttle you'll find them at the Transport Pick-up zone - a short 1-2 minute walk out door 11 by the arrivals area. If you are being picked up by a pre-booked taxi, meeting point is inside arrivals. For off-site shuttles you'll find them at the Off-site Transfer zone - a short 5-7 minute walk under the mostly-covered canopy walkway north of the Transport Hub and behind the Te Arikanui Pullman hotel.

Premium pre-booked taxi services

These services have access to three options for pick -up locations:
- Current location at the Off-site transfer zone or
- Undercover spaces inside the Transport Hub Priority zone or
- Bookable kerbside VIP spaces outside the International arrivals area.
When making your bookings please discuss with your service provider to determine the best option for you needs.

Carparking

For now, carparking remains unchanged by the international terminal. We have short-term undercover parking at Car Park D, longer-term parking at Car Park E (a 5-7minute walk) and Park & Ride North. Carparking in the upper floors of the new Transport hub, which are still under construction, will open late 2024.
