Lost property

Lost property found within the international and domestic terminal can be claimed from the Operations Reception office.


To find it go to the international check-in area, turn left and head out door 1 and then turn right. View the Airport maps to see the location.

The office is open during business hours (8am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday). In urgent circumstances, outside of these hours, use the intercom at the reception door and someone will come and help you. You will be given a reference number as items are held in storage and you will need some photo ID and this number to retrieve them, you can send someone on your behalf (with photo ID) but you must specify this person prior to coming to pick up the items.

Note:

  • Duty free items left airside will be passed onto NZ Customs and you will need to contact them directly on +64 9 2556681 and they will advise you how to collect your items.
  • All Passports found will be given to the Airport Police and you should contact then directly on +64 9 2759046.
  • If your lost item was left on-board an aircraft you will need to contact your airline directly.

It is our policy that all perishable items be destroyed immediately, so please be aware of this.
