Packing advice

Making your airport security experience easy and your international journey as pleasant as possible.

Before check in

Are your liquids, aerosols and gels 100ml or less?

Liquids, aerosols and gels are anything you can pour, smear or spray eg: water, eye make-up, antiperspirant.

Put anything larger than 100mls or items you do not need for the flight, or are unsure about, in your check-in luggage.

There are no new restrictions on what you can pack into your check in luggage.

If you want to take items through the screening point make sure:

  • these are in containers of 100ml or smaller.
  • all items fit in one small, clear, resealable plastic bag (1 litre volume or 20cm x 20cm max.) in your carry-on baggage. From Wednesday 1st of May 2024 for international flights only, you will no longer be required to remove these liquids, aerosols or gels - 100ml or under for security screening. These can now be left in your carry-on hand luggage when you go through the security screening area.
  • only one bag per person is allowed.

  • Firearms and guns (including replica toys guns and BB guns)
  • Pointed edge objects (including razor blades and scissors)
